UPDI™ - Production of UltraPure Water

UltraPure Uniform Particle Size Resin type AmberTec™ UP by DuPont Water Solutions.
Quality: Up to 18.2 Megohm·cm at 25°C with TOC < 5 ppb.
Max. Quality and Throughput:
Two Polishing columns in a Lead-Lag configuration.

FPDI™ - Production of Food Grade Demineralized Water

Food Grade Resin type AmberLite™ FP by DuPont Water Solutions for Food Processing. Quality and throughput: same as TSDI™ resin.

Simple Calculation

The following formula gives an approximate determination of Water Volume that can be treated by TREION™ resins:
BV = CF / TDS
BV (Bed Volume) is the Number of Liters of Water that can be demineralized by One Liter of Resin when run to exhaustion.
CF (Capacity Factor) is:
• 440 for TSDI™ and FPDI™ resins,
• 640 for XTDI™ resin.
TDS is the Total Dissolved Solids of the Feedwater in meq/L.

Example:
A TREION™ TSDI.Std column that contains 23 L of resin and is  fed with water whose TDS is 4 meq/L, would produce 23 x (440/4) = 2530 liters of DI Water.

DI Water EC = 0.1-20 µS/cm.
